Supporting Scott During Recovery
Donation protected
On Wednesday, March 30th my husband Scott was in a motorcycle accident. He was 3 streets away from our house when he hit an area of poorly done cold patch, causing his bike tire to bounce, causing him to lose control. He tried to get off the bike in time but couldn't and hit the pole with his and the bikes right side. Causing both of them to be thrown barrel-rolling across the street before stopping 30' away from the pole on the opposite side of the road.
At the hospital they found out he has no head or neck injuries, no spinal cord damage or internal bleeding. However he does have 12 fractures/broken bones. He has a Fractured right Ulna and Radius. Right wrist dislocation. Left wrist fractured/dislocated. Two fractures to the right tibia and one to the fibula. Fractured bone in the right foot. Fractured (12th) right rib. 4 minor fractures in the Facet joints in vertebrae L1-L4
He has now had 3 surgeries. He had a titanium rod and screws put through/in his leg/Tibia from knee to ankle. Plate and screws in the right arm and left wrist. The foot, rib and vertebrae are inoperable and will heal themselves in time. He is looking at two weeks in inpatient rehab and then 6 months recovery time. I will be taking this time off as well to be his caregiver at home. His rehab facility will be training me to help him properly between having visiting nurses. These funds will be used to help pay not only our regular bills but will help alleviate some of the medical bills as well. Any shares or donations are massively appreciated...It truly does take a village and we appreciate each and every one of you immensely. Thank you all so much for your time.
