Supporting Shawn through his recovery

UPDATE - FEB 2
Thank you to all of the donors!.As a brief update, Shawn is in post-operation recovery and will be discharged tomorrow. With all your support, we have been able to pull together enough funds to cover financial commitments and loss of income for the next couple of months so that he can focus on healing and getting back on his feet. We are closing this campaign as we have exceeded our goal of $7000 in less than 24 hours! Shawn is very thankful and overwhelmed with your generosity. We will keep the community updated on opportunities to help as they arise, including MealTrains, etc.

On January 31, Shawn had an unfortunate fall at the end of a ski run that resulted in a broken hip, requiring surgery. The recovery process will be long and will keep him out of work for the next 6+ weeks.

 

Lets raise some funds to cover core costs while he doesn't have an income, mainly the mortgage on his new place. Any additional funds will be used to cover other essentials, like meals, cleaning, etc.
