Life can take unexpected turns, and sometimes those turns lead to unimaginable challenges.
Our family is facing one such challenge as we confront the devastating news that is Sonya’s terminal cancer diagnosis.
Sonya has put up one heck of a fight battling her cancer since June 2020, exhausting every avenue along the way bidding for more time with her children. Unfortunately the cancer is now inoperable and untreatable and has now become a terminal diagnosis.
Sonya has spent her life giving. Giving to her 7 children, giving to her family, giving to her friends and giving to anybody around her. If she thought she could help someone in anyway she would. Anybody that has had the privilege of being part of Sonya’s life can attest to this.
Sonya’s drive and willingness to help those around her and putting everyone else first has left a short fall in her funeral funds. After paying for funeral insurance for 15 plus years her available balance is a measly $6000, not even close to covering the cheapest funeral package.
Even now towards the end of life, Sonya would not ever ask for a cent, instead insists “ I’ll figure it out”
let’s help by not “ letting her figure it out “ but by covering as much of the excess funeral cost’s as we can so that she can spend the remainder of her time and the last of her little funds making memories instead.
