Supporting Stephanie: Family trip to make memories

Friends, Family, and Colleagues,

Stephanie Chasteen has been a beloved colleague, friend and family member to a range of communities -- a physics education researcher, a passionate sciencegeekgirl, Peace Corps volunteer, waltzing contradancer, Bard alum, a loving mother, and an unwavering friend. Her enthusiasm, wit and brilliance have made all of our communities better places to be. Now, as Stephanie faces the challenge of brain cancer, we are coming together to support her and her family.

When asking Stephanie how we could help, she noted:

Who knows how long I have left? The same is true of all of us. So, “carpe diem,” it’s time to go out and do the big interesting trips that I want to do, and I want some of those to be with Max and Terry (Max’s dad). Japan is one of the few countries that Max is interested in going to (because it’s “cool”) so I’d like to take the family on a Big Trip to Japan! Also on my list are Iceland, Alaska, and Hawaii. Thank you for helping me, and the family, build some amazing memories!

Every donation will go directly to Stephanie to use as needed to fund these memories and surround her with our love and support!
