Supporting Steve Hoskins & his family in their time of need

My name is Maryanne and I’m starting this GoFundMe for my best friend Steve-O. I met Steve over 20 years ago when I was laid up with a broken leg and he was getting chemo treatments. We clicked right away after we realized we had the same sense of humor.

They say it takes a village, and Steve is the village comedian. He’s always there to crack a joke and make you smile on your worst days. In 2000 Steve was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma but after two rounds of chemotherapy, radiation and a stem cell transplant he beat it. In 2012, just after getting engaged, Steve was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. He went on to have his thyroid removed, get married and become a father to twins. There have been ups and downs like Jacob being diagnosed with Autism and Veronica having daddy’s attitude but he’s battled on.

Now, Steve, his wife and their two beautiful children need the support of their village to help them through some of their most challenging days. In January, Steve was diagnosed with cancer once again. After undergoing abdominal surgery, he was informed that unfortunately the surgery did not eradicate the cancer. Now Steve is set to start chemotherapy treatments which will put him out of work for the next six months. Any donation you are able to make during this time will help ease the burden for Steve and his family.
