My name is Mariya, and I created this fundraiser for Sukina Ali and her family, who have recently lost their father after his long, long battle with stage four liver cancer. Their journey has been filled with unimaginable hardships, and now they need help to ease their financial burden.

Family Background:

Sukina and her family lived a normal life before the war erupted in Sudan. Her father was first diagnosed with stage 3 liver cancer in Nyala, South Darfur. With the conflict, they had to flee to Madani in Gezira, where his treatment was delayed by the war again. The family moved to Egypt to stay as refugees, hoping to find him the care he needed. By the time they could access proper treatment, his cancer had progressed to stage 4, and doctors said there was little hope. Despite their efforts, they lost him to be left with heavy medical debts.

The Need:

The family is struggling to pay off the medical, living costs, and traveling expenses during his illness. They lost almost everything during the war, and Sukina is unable to support her family due to job loss in the conflict. They need financial support to cover these debts and move forward after this tragic loss.
