❤ Cancer messed with the wrong girl ❤
Susan was diagnosed with Stage II and III Breast cancer (two tumours) in October 2017. She underwent an initial 6 rounds of chemo from Oct 2017 to February 2018.
The chemo worked so well to reduce the size of tumours, that the operation to do a full mastectomy was changed to a round block mastemy which is breast conserving surgery.
20 rounds of radiation followed and a further 6 rounds of chemo which was completed successfully on 5 December 2018.
However Susan has recently been diagnosed with Pagets Disease of the Nipple on 18/04/2019.
She has undergone surgery again on 13/06/2019 to have her right nipple removed .
She is unable to undertake any further radiation treatment and will have a follow up appointment on 26 June to discuss her results and future treatment options.
Susan has had the most amazing attitude towards her diagnosis and treatment and has tried to maintain a normal life, turning up for work when many would choose to stay home.
As a colleague and friend, I wanted to do something for Susan and with her permission I am hoping we can all chip in together and raise around $2000 to help Susan with her everyday additional expenses that will allow her to concentrate on her health and having to worry a little less about her finances.
With very little sick leave and savings, I know Susan will be so appreciative of any amount of donation that is given.
