Funds for a Fighter - Supporting the Bassingers

UPDATE: In June of 2023, Terry learned that his cancer has returned and the treatment options are extremely limited at this point. Then, in August of 2023, the family learned that their daughter, Allie, also has thyroid cancer. While waiting for Allie's surgery, the other 3 kids were checked and Zoey was also found to have thyroid cancer. Zach & Carter are clear. Please continue to support their family through the uncertainty that lies ahead.

You may know him as family, friend, coworker, volunteer firefighter, neighbor, hubby of Angie, or dad of Zach, Allie, Carter & Zoey. No matter how you know him, you know that Terry Bassinger is a quiet, hardworking guy with a contagious laugh and generous spirit who's always ready to jump in and help anyone in need! His sweet wife, Angie, is just as unforgettable and serves the community as a substitute para-pro in Nebraska City schools while juggling the schedules of their four kiddos. If you know them - any of them - you love them! 

In late April 2022, Terry discovered he had thyroid cancer. On May 9th, he underwent extensive surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible, and he's now preparing to begin radiation treatment with the hope of killing all remaining cancer. The medical team continues to work to develop the best plan for his uniquely challenging situation, so the exact nature of radiation - whether pills, external or both - is still coming together.

Terry intends to continue working to support his family during the radiation treatment (as he's physically able); however, his time away from work thus far, combined with mounting medical bills, present a challenge. Terry & Angie are both community servants and now they need the support of their community as they rally to fight and beat Terry's thyroid cancer. The good news is that together....WE CAN HELP lighten the financial part of their burden!
