Supporting the Ashton Family

On Sunday night, April 13th, the Ashton family experienced a life changing event. Brian, a single father of two boys, experienced an unexpected blood clot causing him to sustain a major heart attack. He drove himself to Bristol hospital and upon medical staff reading his EKG he was an emergent transport by ambulance to St. Francis hospital. The incident was extremely rare for someone so healthy and young, but the impact it had on his heart was profound. He underwent 7 extensive days in the ICU and telemetry unit at St. Francis and has a long road of doctor’s visits, medical equipment rentals, and cardiac rehab ahead. With this, the future for him to return work is currently unknown. If you are wanting to help Brian and the Ashton family, a donation can be made towards the medical expenses that are to come on his recovery journey. Brian has been a core part of the Thomaston community, especially the Thomaston Soccer Club, which he has devoted countless hours to coaching, teaching and caring about not only his kids, but everyone else’s as well.
