Supporting the Barishman Family

We know a lot of Jason Barishman’s story. We know how hard he fought and that he had been fighting for most of his life. We know how much he loved his family and how tightly he hung on to staying here, for them. We know that he is now without pain. He no longer suffers. In that, we are deeply saddened and yet, still grateful for that peace.

Fighting such a long illness is obviously financially draining on any family unit. During the course of their marriage and as his illness progressed, Jason and Asa spent everything they had in doing all they could to keep Jason alive. They were not able to have a “cushion” to lean upon because of the expenses incurred between Jason’s illness (AND their youngest daughter being medically fragile as well).

Jason exceeded high risk for life insurance. He passed away without that provision being in place. His loyal and steadfast bride is left without this to lean upon right now. She has to pick up these pieces. His three beautiful children still have long, full lives to lead, and the financial strain is great.

Funeral services and burial needs are EMERGENT.. There are NOT funds available to do what is needed. They need us to help carry them right now.

Family, friends, and community have been such a huge part of the Barishman’s lives. They have been there for us all in one way or another, most of us in many, many ways. This is when we give back. As Asa focuses on picking up those pieces and supporting her children, we need to stand beside her in any way we can.

This is absolutely what Jason would want.
