Supporting the Bolourchi Family

One of the greatest gifts of being part of a large community is being held with love and care during times of hardship.

Niku Bolourchi (Kindergarten parent, 5th Grade class teacher and Educational Support Specialist at Golden Bridges School) and Teddy (Rainbow Kindergarten) have lost their beloved mother/Grammies. Her death was sudden and unexpected, but both Niku and Teddy were at home with her and were able to say goodbye. Three days after the memorial, Niku contracted covid. Three days after that Teddy did, too. There have been too many unexpected events within two short weeks.

Your financial gift will help cover the costs of basic living expenses (housing, food, gas) as well as summer camps for Teddy so that Niku can prepare for teaching 6th grade. They live in the Bolourchi family home and have some decisions to make in the coming weeks and months about whether to stay or move.

Niku has been a pillar of support at GBS last year and this year. I invite every family, teacher and staff member at GBS to offer Niku and Teddy support in this difficult time.
