Help Support Natalie Clegg's Brain Cancer Journey

After a few months of migraines, Natalie went to the emergency room the night of June 11th. Expecting to get pain medicine and sent on her way, everyone was shocked to hear that she instead had a lot of swelling and a tumor on her brain. Once hearing this news, she was sent via ambulance to a bigger hospital, where she spent several days and underwent brain surgery to remove what they could. Thankfully, the surgery went very well, and the entire tumor, to our knowledge, was removed. She has spent the past few weeks recovering and is getting stronger day by day.

The final pathology has come back, and unfortunately the mass was a stage four astrocytoma. This form of brain cancer is highly aggressive, but is also treatable. She will be undergoing treatment over the next year that will consist of both radiation and chemotherapy.

Natalie is a former pilot who had a passion for flying, and unfortunately with this diagnosis, her flying days are over. She was looking forward to a new career in academia, with several schools interested in her area of expertise. One of her biggest dreams for was to share her passion for aviation and influence the future generations of the aviation industry. Unfortunately, due to the unforeseen circumstances, Natalie is unable to work until further notice. Ben, Natalie's husband, is currently a full-time graduate student finishing up his doctoral studies. With Natalie's inability to work and Ben's full-time collegiate schedule, depending and leaning on Natalie's income is no longer feasible.

On top of all of these things, they have a beautiful 7 month old baby girl, Evalyn. Evalyn is the light of their life, and one of the happiest babies you will ever meet.
