Supporting Jennifer and Jackson
Donation protected

James Day, a much loved husband of Jennifer and father to Jackson, was diagnosed with Influenza and consequently hospitalised on Saturday the 15th of June. Unfortunately over that weekend, the Influenza hit him and his body quite hard. A specialised team from The Alfred came to Traralgon and facilitated him being placed on ECMO, meaning he was intubated and requiring respiratory and cardiac support. He was transferred from Traralgon to The Alfred Hospital Intensive Care Unit.
James remained in a critical condition for almost a week, with no time frame on any aspect of his care or condition. However on Saturday the 22nd of June, Jennifer received some devastating news. James had suffered multiple catastrophic complications arising from his influenza diagnosis, that would have seen him have no quality of life that would have been acceptable to him. Shortly after receiving this news, the decision was made to cease all supports and James was made comfortable via palliative care. Jennifer and James spent their final night together on Saturday the 22nd of June and James passed away with Jennifer by his side in the afternoon of Sunday the 23rd June
Any financial support donors are willing to contribute to assist Jennifer and Jackson in this devastating time would be very much appreciated.
