Supporting the Family of Alliyah Her

We need to raise $10,000 by August 31, 2023, in order to cover the cost of Alliyah Her's funeral & medical expenses.

Alliyah was born on June 3, 2001. She is the 2nd oldest of 8 children. Alliyah enjoyed playing board games with her sisters, collecting seashells, and spending time with her family. She loved caring for her younger siblings and someday wanted to marry the love of her life and have children of her own. She also had the desire to travel the world.

Unfortunately, before she would turn 17, she became very ill and was in and out of the hospital before she was finally diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Lupus in January 2018. The disease affected different parts of her body, and relentlessly attacked her healthy tissues and organs, depriving her of the ability to fully enjoy a young adolescent life. She spent 5 years battling the disease with frequent visits to specialty doctors and overnight hospitalizations.

She had just recently spent the July 4th weekend camping with her family and shortly upon being back home, experienced another extreme flare-up of her disease and was hospitalized once again. Once stabilized she was able to be discharged home. No one would have known that this family trip would have been her last. On the evening of July 12, 2023, she had extreme difficulty breathing as blood clots in her lungs obstructed the flow of oxygen to vital organs. She was rushed by ambulance to the nearest ER, her health continued to decline and her family was told that she would need to be transferred to another hospital, but while the family waited for the transfer, Alliyah could not wait any longer. Her already weakened body had sustained too long of a period without adequate oxygen to vital organs. And so on the early morning of Thursday, July 13, 2023, her heart stopped and she departed from this world.

Alliyah's family was not prepared for this moment to come, and so financially they could not afford the expenses of a life insurance policy and the medical costs related to her illness.
