Supporting the Family of Antoine Whittley
UPDATE:
Antoine’s mother needs support to move to a new place. Please donate what you can.
Antoine Whittley’s body was found on July 22,2021. His family needs our support to remember and honor him with a beautiful homegoing. Please give to support this effort.
Backstory:
Antoine Whittley has been missing since February 10. He is 17 years old and is a student and athlete at Kennedy High in Richmond, CA. He was reportedly last seen exiting a ride-share vehicle on the Richmond-San Rafael bridge that night. His family and community have been tirelessly spreading the word in hopes that people who were on the bridge share what they saw that night and that others share any information that they have. The Richmond Police Department has been investigating the case since February 11.
This fundraiser is being organized by his Assistant Principal, Helene Burks. His mother started a new job right before he went missing and has had to take time off during this time. Your donations will help support the following:
$4,000 - Bills and financial needs of the family for two months (includes PGE, rent, food, phone, gas)
$500 - Travel costs of the family who have come from out of town to support (such as his dad who has traveled from Louisiana)
$3,000 - Legal and search support- anything raised above the target amount will go toward this effort (please reach out with any contacts who could help- someone is needed to help the family navigate this case)
You can also support the family by signing up to provide a meal through the MealTrain we have organized: https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/qmmql5
In the meantime, the family and supporters gather everyday at 3pm at Marina Way S. and Maine Ave in Richmond. We can take cash donations there. If you would like to donate in a different way (venmo, paypal), please reach out.
Please follow these accounts to stay updated on the case and how to support and help us spread the word. You can find flyers and more resources at our linktree: https://linktr.ee/Find.Antoine.Whittley
