Supporting the Family of James Romero

Hi, my name is Danette. I am a friend of James, Melissa and Paige. I am creating this go fundme to help with future finances that will eventually come. A Back story on what happened to James and what has led us to this point. Two weeks ago, James was on a run from Texas when he called Melissa to tell him he couldn't drive anymore. He said he was thinking he had food poisoning. He unfortunately did not. He was still throwing up and not being able to breathe. He had Melissa call 911 and was rushed to the emergency room. This is where he found out that he had pancreatitis and his sugar level was way over 700. James stayed in the hospital for two days until he was airlifted to Baton Rouge General where he was in ICU. James was making small impovements, which we were excited about. June 22, 2023 He gained his wings and left a beautiful family. When James was supposed to get out of the hospital, they were going to get married. Melissa is a substitute teacher for Vermilion Parish School Board. Right now she is not able to work because it is summer time. James was an owner/operator for Acme Truck Line and was the only source of income. They have a daughter together who is still in high school and involved with band. Melissa will have so many expenses to pay for when it comes to graduation and other school supplies. If you could find it in your heart to please donate to James' family, this would mean the world to them. She will have so many things to figure out in the next coming months.
