Supporting the Hilario Family Through Healing, Hope and Care
Donation protected
We come to you with a heavy heart as we face a tragedy that has deeply affected the Hilario family, beloved members of our tight-knit community in Osoyoos. It is with profound sadness that the family shares the devastating news of the passing of Joe Hilario and the critical condition of his wife, Vera.
On July 11th, while Joe and Vera were visiting Washington, a tragic accident occurred during a morning walk in Spokane, resulting in both of them being struck by a vehicle at a pedestrian crosswalk. Joe, a beloved husband, father, and friend to many, tragically lost his life that day. Vera remains in the intensive care unit, fighting for her own life with courage and strength that inspire us all.
The Hilario family has always been an integral part of our community, known for their kindness, generosity, and unwavering support for others. In this dark hour, as they navigate this unimaginable loss and uncertainty, it is our time to rally around them with love, care, and unwavering support.
The financial burdens that accompany such tragedies are immense, particularly given the circumstances of the accident occurring in the US, adding layers of complexity and unforeseen expenses. If it is within your means, I urge you to consider contributing to support Vera's ongoing critical care, arrangements for Joe's funeral, and the needs of the family staying in Spokane during this trying time.
The family has created a platform for updates on Vera's condition where you can show your solidarity and send messages of support:
