Supporting the Hunter family after the loss of their father

Donation protected
Jesse Leon Pope was a partner, father, brother, friend, and quiet jokester. His journey on earth ended tragically in a fatal car crash on September 3rd, 2024, leaving behind his partner, Quarneshia Hunter, and their three young children, Kamarian (8), Cornelius (4) and Amina (2).
Jesse was 33 years old.

Before Jesse’s accident, the young family was getting on their feet while living in a home that needed extensive repairs in Selma, Alabama. This loss comes just as they were gaining better economic footing to improve their circumstances, as Jesse had just accepted a higher-paying position.

Now that Jesse is gone, Quarneshia and the kids will need to move to a more affordable and sustainable living situation. Due to a disability, Quarneshia works limited hours for an after-school STEM program, further limiting the now single-income family’s financial opportunities.

In addition to prayers for the Hunter and Pope families as they grieve, we are asking for financial support for Quarneshia and the three children. Contributions will go straight toward a college fund for each of the children to secure their educational futures and toward moving expenses for the family. Any amount you can contribute is appreciated.
