Supporting the Jeff Winland Family

Donation protected
This campaign is for Jeff Winland. Jeff is a resident of Clinton, Indiana and a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. Jeff's sense of humor and love for his family are the first things that come to mind when people think of him. He has dedicated his life to loving and providing for his family.

On May 15th, 2020, Jeff was critically injured in a horrible automobile accident. The Lyford Fire Department published the following on their Facebook page:

"At approx. 11:19 today Lyford fire department was dispatched for a accident with injuries near Lambert Ave and US 41. 1st arriving units advised of entrapment in 1 vehicle and 2 other vehicles involved. A 2nd alarm was requested bringing Adams Twp Rescue and Otter Creek Rescue. Stat Flight air medical was also called. All units complete at 1330. Lyford FD would like to thank all mutual aiding departments, Parke County Dispatch and all other emergency agencies involved. No names of other information will be released at this time."

As of today, May 19th, Jeff is still in critical condition in the Trauma Intensive Care Unit at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Jeff sustained severe chest injuries as well as MANY broken bones. The most serious breaks happened to BOTH of his legs. Jeff has already been though two surgeries and is still intubated and not able to talk to his wife or children. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the hospital's zero visitor policy, Jeff is in the hospital alone.

As his wife, Jennifer, waits desperately for good news, she is also trying to figure out how to navigate life with Jeff away. Jeff has worked for nearly 30 years at Elanco (formerly Eli Lilly) and is the sole provider for their family.  Over the years, Jeff battled TWO rounds of Cancer and survived a house fire! He is a fighter at his core and everyone that knows him believes he will make it through this fight.

But when he finally recovers enough to leave the hospital he won't be able to go home. His doctors have already warned his family that he will need to spend time at a rehabilitation facility, since he will not be able to walk for many months. This also means he will not be able to work for an extended amount of time. When he is finally able to return home he will need a safe way to get into and out of his home. He needs a ramp and safe railings installed, as well as some modifications to his bathroom and bedroom.

I asked Jennifer if I could start this campaign because I know there are so many people out there that love Jeff, Jennifer, Ashley, Michael, Matt and Masen and they want to help! We thank each and every one of you that have already reached out  to ask what you can do. Thank you all for your prayers for Jeff and his recovery. We thank anyone who reads this and decides to make a donation to this wonderful family.
