Supporting the mental health needs of our students
Donation protected
At Gartree High School we currently have 2 trained ELSAs (Emotional Literacy Support Assistants) who provide 1-to-1 sessions for students who are struggling with their mental health and wellbeing. However, we do not currently have an allocated space for this to happen. This space would also be useful for the pastoral team when students just need some quiet time. Natalie (deputy head of year 7) and Asha (Deputy SENCo and ELSA) will be doing a skydive in April to raise funds for this space.
Life is currently hard for so many and at Gartree we are doing everything we can to support young people with the struggles they may be facing. We cannot stress the importance of providing a safe space in which children can go and talk about their problems. It would mean so much to the young people who currently attend the school but also to all future generations to come, who would be able to make use of the space.
Thank you for visiting our page and any donation you can make would be greatly appreciated and go a long way in helping us to reach our end goal.
