Supporting the Pottinger Family
Donation protected
The Pottinger family has been on the forefront of many of our minds during this difficult season of Kevin's passing. It has come as a surprise to many of us how quickly we saw our brother, Kevin, courageously living through the journey of his diagnosis and treatment, progress to the final days of his life. Maria, Colin, Meredith, Alec and Grace were by his side after his admittance to the hospital just before Christmas Eve, Father David was ever present, caring for all. There were many blessings during this time including a New Years Eve celebration where his dear friend Troy and others rang in 2019 with Kevin to the song "Pink Cadillac", the traditional "going home song" for their band.
On January 2nd, Kevin passed on to a place of eternal joy with God.
Many of you have asked what you can do to support this beloved family through this difficult time. Kevin was the financial provider for the family and Maria is now facing a financial need which has been unexpectedly accelerated. A bridge is needed for monthly expenses until Social Security and pension payments begin as well as for establishing health insurance. There are burial expenses for Kevin as well as any out-of-pocket medical costs related to his eleven days in ICU. There will be future college expenses – their oldest, Colin, will be graduating from high school in June and start college in the fall and the younger kids will follow in future years.
Here is a place where you may leave a financial gift.
Blessings
“When you pass through waters, I will be with you; through rivers, you shall not be swept away. When you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, nor will flames consume you.”
-Isaiah 43:2
