Supporting the Smalley’s

Donation protected

Last week my beautiful friend Helen had to do the unthinkable and tell her gorgeous boys that their father had died. Nathan’s death by suicide was as sudden and shocking as it was devastating for both Aaron and Lachlan. Both boys adored and idolised their father, his death will
leave an unthinkable hole in their lives.

Despite Helen and Nathan separating several years ago, they continued to work together to support and love their boys.
Nathan lived in Western Australia and despitethe distance, he had regular contact and long visits with his boys.

Now Helen faces the challenge of getting over to Western Australia to allow her boys to see their father one last time and be present for hisfarewell.

Helen is a hardworking paediatric nurse, who has dedicated her life to helping others.

Now she is faced with a massive task of not only emotionally supporting her boys through this but also bearing the financial burden of unexpected travel, accomodation and time off work. The current Coronavirus pandemic clearly makes it even more difficult. They will need to quarantine once in Western Australia, meaning she will have a minimum three weeks off work.

When someone is faced with this amount of grief and trauma, flowers and kind words can help but what Helen and her boys really need now is money to help cover the sudden costs associated with getting her boys to their dads side.

Helen would never dream of asking for this kind of help so I have taken on the task of attempting to relieve some of her burden.

Any amount you able to spare will be so greatly appreciated.

Thank you
