Supporting Those Kevin Left Behind

Even after the most devastating storms in life, something beautiful remains. In this case, that beauty is in the precious little family our brother Kevin Gifford leaves behind. We know there will be a bountiful outpouring of support and Kevin's sisters and mother have requested that any monetary donations be made to the Benefit for Kevin Gifford account to help his daughters and wife.

 

Kevin was with us from June 13, 1968 until October 20, 2021 when he lost his long battle with depression. He was born in San Diego, California and made his choice to walk with God at the young age of 12 at Santee convention in 1980. This greatly influenced the rest of his life choices - and the lives of so many others for decades to come. He went into the ministry in 1990 where he labored in California and Mexico until 2012 when he was no longer able. Even when unable for the work, Kevin remained a faithful, caring servant to all who came into contact with him. A few years later, Kevin married the love of his life, Nathalie Cabrerro Mendo and her three beautiful daughters Escarlet, Jenny, and Keila. Kevin couldn't have loved those little girls more if they were his own. He was a devoted husband and father and an avid hiker and fisherman. He and Nathalie started and worked together in their painting business, A Brush with Excellence.

 

Kevin was predeceased by his father Argyle Gifford and is survived by his mother Bertha Gifford; wife Nathalie; daughters Escarlet, Jennifer, and Keila; his sisters Cheryl Morris and Melanie Huff; and several nieces and nephews.

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the way of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord;…” We can say that Kevin was this man and so we have every confidence that his soul is where there is comfort.
