Supporting Veterans through Creative Arts
Donation protected
O'Flynn's Art Gallery & Craft Shoppe is teaming up with Veterans Creative Arts (Vet A Con) to help veterans find alternate methods in fighting depression/anxiety through the creative arts by offering FREE classes in music, art, writing, dance, and martial arts, both in person and online.
The funds we raise will be used to pay for spots for veterans in a variety of creative arts classes, and booth space to sell their hand-made items, as well as, admission into events that fall under the creative arts, such as concerts and improv shows. We will also use the funds to rent space for veterans to practice various creative arts.
We have the infrastructure in place to provide the classes, events, and space as soon as we have funds available to use.
Our end goal is to help veterans achieve their goals in the creative arts arena. Whether it be playing on stage in front of a crowd, selling their wares through various means, competing in the National Veterans Creative Arts, or simply finding peace on a canvas or with an instrument in their hands.
We are passionate in our belief that creative arts can fight depression/anxiety in all people. It is something that we use in our own lives to help combat anxiety issues. As veterans ourselves, this is a group that is near and dear to our hearts.
We would greatly appreciate any support offered in our initiative! We can not do this alone, but with your help, we can make a positive difference in the lives of the veterans we are able to reach.
