Supporting Wasim to Rebuild Their Lives After Displacement
Donation protected
Hello wonderful people,
My friend Waseem and his family were displaced from the city of Khan Yunis to Rafah, where they now remain among hundreds of thousands of displaced people. Their homes have been bombed, and nearly 90% of Gaza's infrastructure has been bombed.
Wasim, who is only 23 years old, is an ambitious young man who was in the third level of accounting at the Islamic University of Gaza. He is fond of raising ornamental birds, which were killed in the unjust war on Gaza. He personally witnessed the turmoil of displacement during the past long months. He lost many of his friends and colleagues, and despite the challenges, he and a group of displaced youth united their efforts and built a number of fortified tents and bathroom facilities for the displaced.
Waseem has been a friend of mine for many years and we talk every day. He has become more than a brother to me. Financial institutions and platforms continue to prevent Palestinians from accessing their money and accounts, so I decided to create one for him. This is his message:
“Waseem Abu Raida is a Palestinian from Gaza. He is a young man who wants to change his family's life after the Israeli army demolished the house that his family built so that they could live happily with each other. Do we leave Waseem alone, do we leave them to live? Do we leave them on the street without cover or shelter? Certainly not, and we will not accept to ignore them and care about them. Therefore, we launched this campaign to help Waseem rebuild his family home and rebuild a beautiful garden to raise birds that were killed by the occupation due to the war.
I'm not making any money from this fundraiser. The proceeds will go 100% to Waseem and his family. Your donation can ensure that a young family has a chance at life despite the odds. thank you all
