We marched. We voted. Now we are launching a devoted political arm to March For Science.
The March For Science movement began nearly four years ago when more than one million science advocates took to the streets in over 600 cities around the world on Earth Day. Since then, we’ve evolved into a year-round science education and advocacy organization. But the time has come for March For Science to take it to the next level.
Now that the American people have elected Joseph R. Biden as the next President of the United States, it’s critical that we not only ensure that the rest of our government listens to the science and follows the counsel of scientists, but ensure that the Biden Administration champions the evidence-based, science-informed public policies that nearly 80 million people voted for. The United States - and the world - are still confronting multiple crises: climate change, the coronavirus pandemic, and systemic racism. More than ever, we’ll need you - all of you - to remain engaged as we combat the wave of misinformation and disinformation that seeks to discredit climate science, undermine public health officials, and threaten democracy itself.
We hope you’ll join our movement by making a contribution and helping operationalize March For Science’s science advocacy.
GOAL: $50,000 by Inauguration Day January 20th, 2021.
WHAT WILL THE FUNDS BE USED FOR
✔️ Power the creation of a politically focused arm of March For Science to start pushing meaningful progressive reforms and enact policies that science and justice demand
✔️ Focus first on Georgia, where two Senate run-off elections on January 5th will determine control of the United States Senate and the balance of power in Washington
✔️ Increase our capacity and onboard more volunteers to the March For Science team to continue this work (500+ advocates have responded in the first 48 hours to offer their talents!)

WHO WE ARE
March For Science is the world’s largest grassroots network of science advocates. Launched on Earth Day in 2017 with public demonstrations in more than 600 cities across the globe, its mission is to mobilize advocates in support of science-informed public policies. The organization is a fiscally-sponsored non-profit currently headquartered in Dallas, Texas.
