Have you ever wanted to be on reality TV...without having to BE on reality TV?

Come find out in URTV: Passion Mansion, a live, interactive show where YOU, the audience, play production assistants on the set of a quickly crumbling reality TV show called Passion Mansion. Think a little Love Island mixed with a little bit of The Sims...but a whole lot crazier and a whole lot more QUEER. With the power to influence the direction of the show, the audience will be able to spark drama, convince contestants to start wars or make love, and uncover the seedy underbelly of the reality TV world. With four different possible endings, the audience is empowered to impact the direction of the show - for better or worse, it’s in their hands.

Why this show? Why now?

Since the closing of Sleep No More in New York, there's a hole to fill in the immersive theatre world, and with an ambitious and innovative use of medium, URTV: Passion Mansion has the potential to make LA the new hub for immersive shows. But this isn't just a show designed to entertain - Passion Mansion is a social empowerment piece disguised as a sexy, comedic romp. In light of the SAG-AFTRA strike, this immersive, interactive show highlights societal inequities that are ingrained in the entertainment industry and presents the audience with choices designed to make us consider the kind of world we want to live in - and if we're willing to make the right choices in our real lives. URTV reminds us that there is no escaping reality, but we all have the agency to make change – before it’s too late.

This campaign was previously used to compensate our artists and cover all the costs of the workshop production for the 2025 Hollywood Fringe Festival — Now we are raising funds for the future world premiere of URTV: Passion Mansion, an all-day event hosted in an actual mansion based in Southern California!

Risks and challenges

It might feel risky to donate to a theatrical show right now. Theatre, they say, is forever a dying art. But this show is new and timely; it's not just a play - it's an experience, one that makes people's eyes light up every time it's pitched to them. As much as other theatre might struggle to get butts in seats, this is a show that already has people excited - and we're still a month out from opening!

We're looking to raise an ambitious amount here - but given the high concept draw of the piece and the eager responses we've already gotten from people who want to see this show put up, we have a clear opportunity to raise this ambitious amount and put on the show of a lifetime.
