Support Phil Weber in fire recovery
Donation protected
At 3 a.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2018, a four-alarm fire erupted near 3rd and Chestnut Street in Old City, Philadelphia, in the building where Phil has lived for 8 years. Within minutes, Phil was waking neighbors and guiding them, and their pets, out of the building to safety.
While fortunate to have escaped with his life after helping to save the lives of others, Phil has lost all of his personal belongings, leaving his home with only a mobile phone, his Golden Retriever, and the clothes he was wearing--without a winter coat, a wallet, or even the keys to his car.
Residents have not been allowed to reenter the building, which is at risk of collapse and will be demolished; no personal belongings will be recovered.
Imagine, for just a moment, what it would be like to have your life and your home decimated by this tragedy. Most of us are fortunate to have more than we need, while Phil has lost nearly everything.
ANYthing you can contribute would be appreciated. $5, $10, a note of encouragement, or sharing this link on your social media, is not too little.
