PINK UP FOR GIRLS IN LOW INCOME COMMUNITIES IN NIGERIA
Donation protected
This year, we demonstrate advocacy through action.
We're focusing on a mindset shift, changing the way we raise our girls, and taking the actions that break stereotypes and redefine their future.
For centuries, it has been ingrained in families, communities, and the larger society that a girl's ultimate goal is to be a wife, mother, caretaker, and while these roles are critical, a girl child can be MORE. Girls can be leaders, presidents, CEOs, innovators, and so much more.
Without an urgent intervention, girls in Nigeria, especially those in underserved communities will continue to be denied their fundamental rights and deprived of a meaningful childhood that enables them to thrive. They will remain subjected to discriminatory practices: child-marriages, domestic violence, exploitation and a denial of their basic rights to quality education, good health care that foster the cycle of poverty and lead to limited economic opportunities in the near future.
The PINK UP FOR GIRLS campaign by The Women International (TWI) in partnership with The Good Way Foundation, is in alignment with the International Day of the Girl Child to raise awareness and the support needed to enable girls thrive.
This year, the Pink Up for Girls campaign by The Women International in partnership with The Good Way Foundation is raising funds for the educational scholarship of 100 girls in low-income communities in Nigeria and the provision of sanitary care kits for 200 girls in low-income communities in Nigeria.
It costs ₦150,000 ($100/£70/€85) to provide an educational scholarship for a girl for 1 year and ₦10,000 ($7/£5/€6) to provide a sanitary care kit for a girl for 3 months.
By making a donation, you join us to forge an alliance that ensures that girls, regardless of their backgrounds, are sustainably equipped to thrive today and have a brighter future.
