What would you give to help your mother?
Elaine McDondle, the founder of Sarah's House, learned first hand about the struggles that seniors and famalies face trying to find affordable, compassionate care when she tried to care for her aging mother, Sarah.
After her mother passed, Elaine wanted to fill the void of affordable care for the elderly in her community so she renovated a home on 53rd Street North to become Sarah's House, a fully-licensed 501(c)3 residential living home for five North Tulsa seniors.
Sarah's House gives seniors an affordable home where they can live their final years with the dignity and the independence they deserve. Approximately 66% of Tulsa's Senior Citizens live below the state poverty level. Many seniors are forced to live alone in an isolated environment that is unsafe and without access to the basic neccessities of life.
Sarah's House would like to raise $20,000 to remodel her third house so that care services can be expanded to at least 5 more Senior Citizens in North Tulsa.
