Dear reader, we express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support throughout the past year. Your commitment has been pivotal in helping the British Tamil Medical Association achieve significant milestones in our mission to support aspiring medical school applicants and contribute to the well-being of our community.

In reflection of our endeavours in 2023, we're pleased to share some of our key accomplishments:

BTMA x BTDA Charity week: We successfully hosted our first annual charity week including a Games Night, Football Tournament and a Dinner and Dance Ball. The collective success of these events not only raised funds for the KILI Charity but also strengthened our sense of community and commitment to our mission.

Workshops and Webinars: Organised free informative workshops and webinars covering various aspects of the medical school application process, such as the UCAT, BMAT, Personal statements, and MMI and Panel interviews.

Networking event: Collaborated with other similar organisations to host a networking event in London for healthcare workers and medical students.

Med In Tamil series: Through this series on our social media platforms, we have been raising awareness about our Tamil community and encouraged many to use their mother language more often.

️Since its establishment, BTMA has been actively involved in fundraising and pledging our support for worthy causes such as the ForEsha campaign and helping Leprosy affected families in Srilanka. Additionally, we are looking forward to fundraising for the ISLE charity in the upcoming year and hosting the first British Tamil Medical conference in collaboration with Barts and the London Tamil Society.

However, our efforts are not without challenges, and we are reaching out to you and members of our community for your generous support. Your donation can make a significant impact on our ability to continue these vital initiatives and expand our reach.

As we approach the new academic year, we hope to create more of these amazing achievements and to enable us to do this we would appreciate any contribution to our cause. Your support enables us to empower future medical professionals and enhance healthcare services in our community.
