Support the Steins

When Aimee Stein was pregnant with her second child things got complicated. At 35 weeks she went into pre-term labor and the doctors at Star Valley Medical Center could not stop her contractions nor treat an infant under 36 weeks. She was air-lifted to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls and shortly thereafter went into surgery to deliver her son, Everett.

Baby Everett spent two weeks in the NICU hooked up to oxygen and under a heat lamp to control his body temperature with more wires attached to him than you ever want to see on a small child.

In the meantime, Aimee had to make the difficult choice of staying in Idaho Falls with her new baby boy and being away from her husband, Rene, and two year old son, Max for the duration of Everett’s care.

Thanks to the grace of God, everyone is now home and doing well! However, the Steins are now paying the price of their little miracle, literally, with over $100,000 in medical bills that the insurance companies are refusing to pay. Aimee and Rene are doing everything they know how to appeal these claims and get insurance to pay their part but it’s a long and stressful road.

This family, who would give the shirt off their back if asked, is now in need of our help. All donations raised through this fundraiser will be given directly to the Steins to help pay off this unfathomable debt.
