Despite the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, transgender soldiers in America are still banned from serving due to outdated medical policies. TransMilitary is a documentary and television mini-series that follows the lives of three Americans who risk their careers on a daily basis for being who they are, and three British service members who serve openly within their armed forces. TransMilitary addresses transphobia in America through the lens of active duty transgender personnel who serve in silence, as compared to their British counterparts who are supported in their transitions.
