Hi there everybody,
My name is Ryan , This is a page for my pup Sugar the Surfing Dog.
She has been a huge part of my life for the past 9 years. As a young boy , Coming from a surfing family
From an early I have battled with mental health and drug abuse . Spent lots of time in my youth in and out of mental hospitals and institutions. when i would get free i would come home and hang out at the pier and got into a rough crowd of hardcore surf rats, leading to a troubled life as a young man. Went down a path for a long time until i was 30 years old . Even after getting sober dealing with issues anxiety being manic bipolar isnt easy and i needed something.. but i didnt know what it was until my healing came in an unlikely form...

Sugar has taught him how to love and live a life full of meaning and positivity . We are on a constant mission to share that love with others through surf therapy, art, and a shared love for animals.

Over the past few years Sugar and me have perfected their surfing technique and have won multiple surfing competitions together. ( 27 trophies ) One of my dreams is to start a non-profit organization that focuses on using surf therapy to inspire others to get outside, to challenge themselves, to surf, and to build a strong sense of community.

Thanks to the many donations from all of you supporters, We have been able to lease the van of their dreams and are now able to safely drive to various coastal communities in hopes of setting up surf camps, visiting various hospitals, and partnering with animal organizations to make a positive impact at every location they visit. Please continue to support Sugar and me so they can keep our dream van and continue the mission they have set out to accomplish.
