Surgery After Homophobic Attack

Hi. David here and I’m fundraising for surgery to repair my nose after a premeditated homophobic attack.

At approximately 11.15am on Friday 22nd September 2023, I was returning from the supermarket. As I approached my block that I live in I was verbally abused by my neighbours for the umpteenth time about being gay, as I entered our communal hallway and came up the stairs, the assailants both come running out of their flat and physically assaulted me whilst I was carrying my shopping on the 1st floor landing. I have suffered broken fingers, laceration to the eye, multiple deep tissue injuries and as you can see from the pictures a severely broken and deformed nose. This matter has been reported to the police and is being dealt with.

The police attended and basically said “what do you want us to do”

they did all they could and took me to my local hospital for treatment. As you may or may not know the NHS do not provide cosmetic surgery for nose injuries. I have been told that I may suffer breathing difficulties on the left side nostril because of the severity of the damage to the nose. And will almost certainly have deformity to the nose.

therefore I asking for your help to help fundraise so that I can get the corrective surgery done. So if you can help. It would be greatly appreciated

I’ve been the victim of many homophobic slurs from them for the last 2 years since their housing association moved them in to the flat below me. I’ve been called homo, rent boy, faggot to name a few, but every time I’ve reported it the local police have done nothing.
