Surgery and heartworm treatment!

Hello everyone!

My name is Jessica, earlier this month I was contacted about a stray dog in Grand Prairie. I looked for his owners, put out a lost and found post for him but no one has claimed him. I refuse to put him in a shelter where he will most likely be euthanized due to the high number of animals currently in our shelters. My family and I have already grown attached to him, we decided to name him Bruno. I took him to the vet to get checked out, the vet told me that he is heartworm positive and will require treatment. Bruno also has Cryptorchidism, meaning one testicle did not descent during puberty. He needs to be neutered but this surgery will be different as the other testicle is in the abdomen. Lastly, Bruno has Entropion on his right eye that requires surgery as well. Entropion is when the eyelid rolls inward causing the hair on the hair on the surface of the eyelid to rub against the cornea.

In total, the vet quoted me $100 for shots, $700 for the heartworm treatment and $1200 for both the eye lid and neuter.

Bringing the total to $2100. I can provide paperwork if you need proof!
