Surgery costs for Winnie

UPDATE: I called multiple vets around the metro area and found a highly rated one an hour away that is much more affordable! I am dropping my goal down to 1300, which is much better than 4-6k! I’ve got about half of this covered through the first round of donations and my own savings. I snagged a second job that will hopefully get me much closer to my goal. Her appointment will be next month. She’s been resting and pain meds have been helping thankfully! Hoping to reach my goal by mid September. Thank you everyone for your help!

Hi! I’m starting this go fund me to get surgery for my Winnie. She has a cruciate injury on one of her back legs (basically the equivalent of a human tearing their ACL) and the only way to fix it is with a surgical intervention. The vet has quoted us with a surgical estimate of $4,000-6,000 to have it repaired. This is unfortunately the only way to fix this issue, and without surgery it can worsen and cause more issues. I am going to be doing all I can to raise as much of the funds myself, but of course I appreciate anything anyone can give. Until I can raise the funds, I am keeping her on a strict low activity level of having her in her crate near me unless she needs to be taken out on the leash to go to the bathroom. I really really hate asking for help like this, but Winnie is so special to me. I got her while in college and often took her to campus with me where she would get alllllll the attention! She has always adored people, and will jump at any opportunity to get a good pet from anyone. While she may be a diva at times, it’s simply because she knows her worth ! She has grown up along side me, and I often call her my “first born.” She’s gotten me through some major transitions in my life and has always been my constant ray of sunshine. If you are able, I would appreciate any amount of help. This pup is my best friend. Thank you.
