Surgery for Archie- Pembroke Welsh Corgi
Donation protected
Hi! Meet Archie, a 2 year-old corgi. He spreads joy to so many people, & is so loved. Sadly he was diagnosed with a Portosystemic Shunt in April.
Archie got pretty sick the beginning of February. He ended up at LSU Vet School where they took GREAT CARE of him. His bladder had several bladder stones that needed surgical removal. He had a cystotomy. The stones he had at that time are indicative of a liver issue. LSU recommended Archie have a bile acid test preformed. He had the bile acids test done, & his levels were alarmingly high.
Furthermore they suggested Archie see a specialist. They ordered a CT and it was verified Archie has a Portosystemic Shunt, it is an extrahepatic. He will need another surgery to correct the shunt. His surgery is scheduled for July 25, 2023.
The total cost of the CT & surgical costs is about $5300-$5500
We are asking for your help in raising funds for Archie’s surgery. Any amount you can donate will be greatly appreciated and will go towards covering the cost of his medical expenses. With him having a costly surgery in February, & needing another one… it is a lot to bear.
Thank you so much for your support!
