Surgery for Benito the frenchie!

French bulldogs are a brachycephalic breed, meaning they have very short and squished skulls. This can make breathing very difficult. Benny needs a soft palate reduction with nares and saccules. That basically means they are going to cut a wider nostril and throat to create a better airway for him. My husband and I rescued Benny last year. His previous owner didn’t take proper care of him. He wasn’t chipped, wasn’t up to date on his vaccines, and should’ve had this surgery by the age of 1. He is almost 4. We have spent over a thousand on him at the vet last week, and he is currently fighting an infection. They have quoted us $1,000 for the surgery and he needs to have it ASAP because he’s much older than usual. If he doesn’t have it soon they won’t be able to do the procedure at the vet’s office, and would need to keep him in the hospital. Unfortunately our vet doesn’t implement payment plans.
