Surgery for Ekko the Shiba Inu

My name is Marie, and I'm here to start a donation fund for my 8 year old pup, Ekko. He is one of the friendliest dogs you could ever meet--rare for a Shiba Inu! He loves life and lives everyday to the fullest, and is still in his heart a puppy.

It seems hard times always come together, because after returning home from a stay in the hospital for my own health, Ekko now needs surgery for his knee. He forgot he was 8 years old instead of 8 months and ruptured a ligament in his knee while at the dog park.

My husband and I have him on preventive care, but sadly that doesn't cover any surgery expenses such as his xray and procedure. With our finances stretched from my own health issues, I'm looking for support from this incredible community.

The funds would be going directly to the vet or if it takes longer to paying off a personal loan. This should help us pay the surgery, medicine, and any other associated costs. Anything in excess would go to getting comprehensive vet coverage for any future issues and keeping Ekko happy and healthy for his hopefully many years ahead.
