Surgery for Emmett

Emmett is my precious boy, we have been together for 9 years now and he has always been my gentle happy little man. Recently Emmett had begun to rapidly lose weight and was unable to keep any food or water down. After a visit to the vet, they discovered a mass. My vet said it was the biggest he had seen in his 29 years of treating animals. It turns out Emmett has a mass of fecal matter that he is unable to pass. This caused him to stop eating because there simply was no more room. We have been trying laxatives and medicine but we are getting to the point if Emmett can't poop he is at risk of rupturing and going septic which will mean..he would die. Our best bet is surgery to remove the poop. If we can't get it out..that will be the end.
