The Story of Oluwaseun Michael ABIOLA
I am Oluwaseun ABIOLA, a young man of 25 years old and a Chartered Accountant. On my way from work on the 19th of November 2021, I had an unfortunate motor accident. A mini truck rammed into a vehicle. Unfortunately, the bus I used was impacted by the crash, and I was severely affected.
I was rushed to Gbagada General Hospital, where 1st aid was administered to me, then moved out the next day after the MRI scan result came out and the Doctor said I needed more attention because my neck was affected.
I was moved to Igbobi Orthopedic Hospital at Jibowu Yaba. Still, unfortunately, the neurosurgeons were not available, then was moved out after two days to a private hospital at Anthony Village Gbagada (Primrose Hospital), where the surgery was immediately carried out, and I was discharged after five days to continue with physiotherapy.
Unfortunately, my lung shut down with pneumonia and infection after 3 days and was rushed to Evercare Hospital Lekki, where I was in the ICU for three weeks and was discharged with a tracheostomy tube which I carried for five months.
When I had severe pains, another MRI was done, and the neurosurgeon agreed to do a posterior surgery; I had it done on 19th March 2022. I had done physiotherapy for six months without much improvement; then, I was advised to be taken overseas for aggressive physiotherapy.
In total, close to 30M Naira has been expended already. Sadly, my parents have run out of cash and need support to get me back to my feet.
Several hospitals were contacted in India, but the only hospital that could handle my case was the Institute of Brain and Spine in Delhi.
Under this hospital, I will undergo three sessions of treatment. The 1st one is spine stimulation; after two months, I will experience the 2nd stimulation then the 3rd will be bowel stimulation. I have been given a bill of $140,000.00 (one hundred and forty thousand dollars) with other expenses to get back to my feet.
The breakdown for treatment and physiotherapy:
Breakdown:
1st Stimulation $35,000 + $15,000 physiotherapy for 2 months
2nd Stimulation $35,000 + $15,000 physiotherapy for 2 months
3rd Stimulation $35,000
Accommodation $3,000
Logistics and others $2,000
TOTAL $140,000
I kindly solicit your unflinching support to assist me in getting back to my feet on time.
Thank you for your anticipated support.
