We come to you today on behalf of our dear friend and trans community organizer, Serene Rose, who is undergoing a series of life-changing gender-affirming surgeries & procedures now and in the coming months.

Serene has been a beacon of light and empowerment for many, and is now reaching out to her community and beyond for help. We ask for your generous contributions to aid her with essential recovery funds. Together, this can provide the love and support she needs during this transformative time by easing her recovery and ensuring her well-being.

About Serene:

Serene is a trans woman of color, born and raised in NYC. She is an actress in the SAG-AFTRA union, a community organizer and an LGBT event hostess. Despite the challenges and hurdles she has faced in her life; she has emerged as a beacon of hope for others in the community, using her experiences to uplift those around her. You may know Serene from her weekly C.U.N.Tuesday party; where she curates a safe & creative space for trans/nonbinary people to come together and connect while being their truest selves. Some of the events she has organized with and for her community are an all-trans fashion show and various open-mic events showcasing trans and nonbinary talent every month.

Her resilience, positivity, and community building have made a profound impact on many lives, and it’s at this crucial moment we can all assemble to offer her reciprocal support in her time of need.

Why We Need Your Help:

Undergoing gender-affirming surgery is a deeply personal and empowering decision and for Serene, it represents an essential step in her journey towards becoming her authentic self. However, the cost of surgery, combined with the post-operative expenses, has placed a significant financial burden on her shoulders. We want her to focus on healing and not worry about finances during this critical time.

Your Impact:

Your contributions will be going directly toward the following:

~ Funding Serene’s post-operative care, medications, transportation to & from follow-up appointments, etc.

~ Supporting her Rent payments while she is unable to work, providing her a safe and comfortable place to focus on recovery.

~ Food and essentials to ensure she has access to nutritious meals and other necessities for living and healing.

~As well as any other additional unexpected costs and expenses related.
