Help Snickers Get Life-Saving Surgery

Hello Everyone. Family Needs Help Paying for Surgery and Cancer Treatment for Their Fur Baby, Snickers.

Anyone who has ever had a pet knows how much they become children in your family. Snickers is no different for his parents, Robert and Shana. Snickers is the sweetest dog who loves his walks, afternoon naps, getting his belly rubbed, and his ears scratched. He loves the dog park and chasing his two younger siblings, Reese and Oreo. Snickers is great with people, other dogs, and loves everyone he meets.

As Robert always says, “He is no guard dog because he is a big gentle giant”. Snickers was adopted when he was three years old from a rescue organization in Pennsylvania who saved Snickers days away from starvation when he was found tied to a tree in North Carolina and had heart worms and hook worms and was a malnourished 30 pounds. From day 1 in the rescue, Snickers was always super appreciative of his new lease on life and became super lively and excited by everything this life has to offer. Upon being adopted, Snickers became the child that Robert always wanted. The two of them did everything together. From being outside or hiking, to watching TV together; Snickers and Robert were always together. When Robert met the love of his life, Shana, he had to make sure that Snickers approved; which he did because he loves all people. Snickers, and his sister Reese, even served as ring bearers in their wedding.

Recently Shana noticed that Snickers wasn’t doing well walking, was limping, and struggling to go up and down the stairs. When Snickers was taken to the vet the next day, it was discovered that he has a mass in his spleen that could rupture at any moment causing death due to internal bleeding. It was also determined that the mass may be cancerous and could potentially be treated with common chemotherapy. Thus, Robert and Shana, are hoping for any donation that can help support the surgery and treatment of Snickers. This will extend his life so that he can be given a chance to continue to provide joy and love to everyone he is around and continue to be Shana and Robert’s first child.
