Surgery to remove surgical wire after broken jaw repair

Hello, my name is Cindy and this is Mikey kitty who is 6 1/2 years of age.

I acquired Mikey 3 years ago when my partner suffered a hypoxic brain injury from a type 1 diabetic episode on Jan 1, 2022 that resulted in a severe global brain injury leading to my partner passing away Jan 6, 2023.

I already have two cats of my own but I couldn't bare to re-home Mikey as he was there when my partner had his episode and when I went back to my partner's house Mikey was crying and I just couldn't leave him so brought him home with me to look after him until his dad got better and returned from hospital but unfortunately that never happened. Mikey's dada (my partner Ed age 34) passed away Jan 6, 2023

Anyway on Nov 22, 2024 Mikey was clipped by a speeding car resulting in him suffering a broken jaw and grazing his two front paws.

Mikey is lucky to have only sustained a broken jaw.

The initial bill for surgery was £800.

I am registered disabled and receive disability and as most of you may be aware there isn't much money left after bills, groceries, cat food, litter and petrol are paid.

I have been given an "Estimate" of the upcoming surgery costing £305 and some odd pence.

I don't expect anyone to help with the entire cost and am grateful for any amount anyone can contribute towards this bill to just make the financial burden a bit lighter for me and to ensure Mikey can have his surgery as scheduled on January 17, 2025.
