Surgery to Rid Cancer

Heyyy ! My name is Marialena. For those of you that don't know, I have been battling cervical cancer for almost 7 years now. I was diagnosed after having my oldest son, Isaiah. I have done numerous rounds of chemotherapy through the years, which only prolonged the inevitable. During my pregnancy with my youngest son, Sebastian, my cancer had returned but could not be treated because I was carrying him.

In October of 2022 I elected to have a surgical procedure removing 95% of the lining of my cervix hoping to have removed the cancer. My follow up doctors visit in January showed I was clear, however fast forward to April and my results came back that it had returned. After discussing my options with my doctor, a hysterectomy is the route I need to go, to permanently remove the cancer from my body.

My husband is active duty military which means we have Tricare as our insurance. Unfortunately since I am only in Stage 1/borderline stage 2, insurance will not cover the full total of the procedure or my hospital stay. Our out of pocket expense is a little over $7,000. Anything helps to get us to my goal and having this procedure done. I appreciate everyone and I am thanking anyone who helps in advance !
