Dear Friends,
Over and over again, God has shown his relentless unconditional love and faithfulness for me! He restored my soul, given me a new identity, and I get to call him Abba Father every day! Though currently I may appear poor by worldly standards, I've truly never been so rich as I am now because I know without a doubt that I'm a daughter to the King of Kings! He's surrounded me with the most amazing family of friends at Summit Church Recovery where I've learned a way of authentic living and deep relationship with Jesus I never knew was possible.
I can write a book filled with all my trials and the ways the Lord has given me His extravagance in exchange for my dirty rags. I know without a doubt that God's love is not dependent upon my successes or failures and this trial is simply another chapter where once again God's victory will be written for others to read and see that He is good.
On my birthday last October, I had to be rushed to the OR to have an emergency Oophorectomy (ovarian removal). Unnecessarily fearful about how I was going to pay such a large bill, I called the hospital after months of procrastinating to discover the $17,000 bill had been completely forgiven! Can I get a PRAISE GOD?! Seriously, His love has no limits!
Unfortunately, I'm still experiencing horrific pain in my abdomen for months and had to be taken to the ER this past Sunday (thank you Jenny, Irene, Leona, and Jennifer for staying with me, praying, and worshiping with me until 2am) where I've been diagnosed with endometriosis, colitis, and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and in urgent need for more surgery.
Once again, God amazes me with His provision. My dear friend whom I met on a photo shoot Jenny Ramirez called her amazing Tia Martha and Tio Dr. Jorge Valle whom "just happen" to be specialists in this field. They got me in right away for further testing and graciously declined any payment! (On a side note, not only would I recommend Dr. Valle solely on his amazing heart and bedside manner, but anyone can tell just from talking with him that he is extremely experienced, educated, and has a genuine concern for the natural well-being of his patients.)
Long story short, I need to have laproscopic surgery this coming Thursday June 23. God, once again showing his undeniable faithfulness, has put it on Dr. Valle's heart to preform my operation and post-op visits for free! Such generosity still hasn't fully sunk in; yet why should I be surprised when God is in control.
In order for me to have the surgery asap, I need to raise $3,300 for the operating room, anesthesiologist, and lab work that must be paid to the hospital in full up front. To me that's seems like a lot of money, but to the Lord I know it is but a breath.
The Lord has also opened up a huge door for me to teach at Summit Christian School starting in August. I know it's God's timing for me to have this necessary surgery over the summer so I can be fully healthy and eager to give the kids and the staff my very best.
I fully trust when the Lord gives a job, He will also provide the tools. Any donation towards my surgery would be a huge blessing! I pray that after the surgery, each pain-free step I take will be a living testimony to how truly faithful our Father is to his children and be a reminder to you when you face a seemingly insurmountable trial that God's love for you has no limits, no end!
Who then shall separate us from the love of Christ?! Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness, danger, or sword...? No! In all these things we are more than conquerors through Christ and I am truly convinced neither death nor life, angels or demons, neither present nor future, nor any powers, neither hight nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord! (Romans 8:35-39)
Thank you everyone for your love, prayers, and support. I am truly blessed beyond words.
blessings and love,
Abby
