Surgery for Herniated Disk L5S1 Gerardo Mogollon

I got diagnosed with herniated disk about 2 years ago. I was living in my country, Venezuela at that time. Due to the political chaos and overall situation in Venezuela, I had to take my family out of the country and we left Venezuela in May 2018. During the last 18 months, I have tried all the alternative solutions to fix the problem in my spine, wich includes inversion therapy, lumbar traction, physiotherapy, and medication. During the past 2 months, it seems that the herniated disk have reached the most painful stage. Currently, I have pain in my lower back and my rigth leg all the time. I can barely walk and the doctor recommended surgery. Problem is that since we are inmigrants in Lima, Peru, we dont have insurance nor economic resources to afford the surgery. 

I am grateful for all that I have done. My family is OK, my children are healthy and they are getting very good education here in Lima, Peru. However, we have devoted a good share of our savings to support our living expenses during the last 12 months here as inmigrants. This is why I am creating this fundraising campaign, to help me raise money for the surgery. It is recommended to be held as soon as posible.

Me diagnosticaron una hernia discal lumbar hace 2 años. Para esa epoca estaba viviendo con mi familia en Venezuela, mi país. Debido a la tensa situacion política y caos generalizado en Venezuela, me vi obligado a salir con mi familia en Mayo de 2018. Durante los últimos 18 meses he tratado todas las terapias alternativas para corregir el problema en mi columna sin necesidad de cirugía, entre ellas, terapia de inversión, tracción lumbar, fisioterapia y medicamentos. Durante los últimos dos meses, pareciera ser que la hernia discal se ha agravado severamente. En estos momentos, tengo fuerte y constante dolor en la zona lumbar que se extiende a mi pierna derecha. Camino con dificultad y el doctor ha recomendado cirugía. El problema es que debido a que somos inmigrantes en Lima, Peru,  no tenemos seguro médico ni recursos económicos para afrontar la operación.

Estoy agradecido por todo lo que he hecho hasta hoy. Mi familia esta bien. Mis hijos pequeños están sanos y recibiendo buena educación aquí en LIma, Peru. Sin embargo, hemos dedicado una parte importante de nuestros ahorros a cubrir nuestros gastos como inmigrantes durante los ultimos 12 meses. Esta es la razón por la cual estoy creando esta campaña de recaudación de fondos, para ayudarme a reunir recursos para la operación, la cual está indicada con caracter de urgencia.

Estare eternamente agradecido con todas las personas que contribuyan a esta causa y asi poder solucionar el problema en mi columna.
