Gracie's Urgent Liver Shunt Surgery
GRACIE NEEDS URGENT SURGERY! MEDICAL FUNDS NEEDED!
Gracie needs your help to raise funds for her urgent Liver Shunt surgery which is finally scheduled for Tuesday, February 27th!
We rescued Gracie from the South LA shelter where they thought she was having seizures. We rushed her to the hospital where they put bells around her neck so they could hear if she was having a seizure. After a week, they couldn't find anything wrong with her so she went to a foster.
After a few months, her foster noted she had a ravenous appetite and would sometimes act erratic and start drooling. She was having seizures again! We rushed her back to the hospital where they discovered she had a Liver Shunt, just like Cupid who you have been reading about recently.
She went to a new foster who could give her medication three times a day to prevent seizures until it was possible for her to have surgery.
Gracie has been totally stable on her medication and is now eligible for surgery! If we wait any longer we risk the medication will stop working and then she would not be able to have the procedure. So now is the time!
After surgery, she will be weaned off the medication and be able to live her life like she should - healthy and happy!
And Gracie is also famous! She is featured in this month's Life Magazine thanks to the amazing Casey Christopher who captured such great photos of our girl!
Please donate to Gracie so she can have the life-saving surgery she urgently needs.
Thank you for helping us help her! Please share!
