FUNDS FOR HUNTER
We originally started this fund raiser to help raise funds for Hunters surgery 6 months ago. Hunter has undergone the surgery but we are still paying off the loan & ongoing vet fee's.
Hunter has anti-biotics daily & monthly Consultations. In his consultation there is an x-ray carried out, and every 3 months or so he has another flush of his lungs & the bacterial sampled sent off to culture ( a laboratory grows the bacteria to see what is infecting him )
If you have seen his story on channel 9, tje daily mail australia or facebook - Thankyou for your care, support & generosity. We love our little bundle of joy & his goofy smile. Hunters loving energy and strength is what helps us through & to continue the fight for his cure.

In October 2016 our puppy hunter had developed aspirations pneumonia. He was lethargic, coughing, vomiting & struggling to breathe . We rushed him to the vet and were given the horrible news of his pneumonia, and told he had 20% chance to live. We acted fast and paid the $1500 upfront to have him put on Iv fluids, oxygen & nebulisers to keep him alive. We went home that night in utter shock, not knowing if he would survive. He made it through his first night and that gave us hope, and after 5 nights in hospital with 24/7 "high dependency care" he was able to come home on oral anti-biotics. We visited the vet weekly after this for re checks, and monthly X Ray's. But with no change at all in his lungs and him still coughing we were referred to the animal referral hospital to see a medicine specialist (Narelle brown). Narelle advised that we needed to do a bronchoscopy, bronchial lavage & CT scan to do a thorough check internally to find what is causing this horrible infection. This was $3200 (we have now hit the $8000 mark in expenses in only a few short months with X-rays and vet visits & procedures) we have now found that there is something in his right middle lung lobe - it could be anything, and this is causing his lung lobe to collapse, and still causing a nasty bacterial infection. We are now facing surgery, which is estimated at $8500 for the procedure and post op care, and also time I will need to take off work to care for him from his surgery. Hunter is only 9 months old and already endured so much in such little time. The stress and emotional damage this has caused can't be put into words, and the fact we haven't & wont give up on him is what gets us through.
If you can spare any $ it would help us in a huge way. We are young, renting, have another dog to care for & I have my medical illness to deal with aswell. We just want him to get better and live his life to the fullest. We would be so greatful to those that can help, and hope to have his surgery done in the next 2 months.
Thankyou for your consideration ❤️
This photo below is the second night after Hunter was rushed to the vet, We were able to visit him and spend some time giving him cuddles and lifting his spirit whilst being away from home, It was so hard to see him like this..
